Ground Zero is a Place.

Overview

"Ground Zero" is the exact location where the bomb that devastated the United States actually detonated.

Location

Ground zero is at the epicenter of the contaminated zone, which is in the Northeastern United States. Ground zero itself, however, is unaccessible; therefore, it's exact location has never been determined.

Conditions

Ground zero has never been reached because the radiation is too high. The area in a 90 mile radius carries fatal radiation. However, speculation suggests that there would be a large crater, probably 200 feet deep by 1000 feet wide. Only strong foundations would be standing within a 3200 feet radius, and only some of the infrastructures of the buildings built with strong, reinforced concrete, remain within a 1.7 mile radius (Source).
